According to the arrangement of the producer, the film is directed by Miguel Sapochnik, director of "Game of Thrones", and Hanks starrs the role of the robotic engineer - Finch. He is one of the few survivors of a catastrophic solar storm that turned the earth into a wasteland. When he was terminally ill, he created a robot to look after his beloved dog. Then they embarked on a dangerous journey to the desolate western United States.
During this journey, Finch tried to show his work (the robot) what it means to be a human and how to take care of his dog. The dog must also adapt to the new owner.
The film's release time has been changed several times before it is set on November 5 this year. The film’s original release schedule was October 2020, and it was later postponed to August 13th, 2021. Now it is postponed again to the end of the year.
