In a planned biopic, to be directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson will play the role of the king of pop himself. For 26-year-old Jaafar, who is the second-youngest child of a musician and Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson, Michael's older brother, this will be more than a significant film. Jaafar referred to himself as "modest and honored" when announcing the news.
The Michael Jackson estate is collaborating on the film, which is likely to have an impact on how the singer's life is portrayed, including whether or not it will mention any of the accusations of child sexual abuse that were made against Jackson both before and after his passing.
The film, simply titled Michael, is likely to be filming later this year.
