The movie is scheduled to be released on June 6, 2025. Ana de Armas shines in the initial preview of Ballerina, the offshoot of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick series. Ana de Armas plays a ballerina turned hitwoman in the movie, officially titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. The production has had a lengthy journey to the big screen. Originally filmed in 2022, it was supposed to premiere in June 2024. However, in February, Lionsgate postponed the release by a year to June 6, 2025, to enable John Wick director Chad Stahelski to enhance the action. Stahelski collaborated with Ballerina director Len Wiseman on fresh action sequences filmed this year.
Wick is Lionsgate's prized possession and arguably its most crucial series. Keanu Reeves has featured in four films as the character since its introduction in 2014. Reeves also makes a cameo in Ballerina, which is set between the third and fourth Wick movies. The cast also includes Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, and Ian McShane.
