The Casting Society of America (CSA) honored the best in casting across film, television, and theater at the 2025 Artios Awards, held on Wednesday night. According to The Hollywood Reporter, major winners included Wicked, Conclave, and A Complete Unknown in the film categories, while Hacks, Shogun, and RuPaul’s Drag Race dominated the television awards. Notably, Emilia Pérez won in the newly introduced International Feature category, highlighting its global impact. The awards, hosted by Janelle James in Los Angeles, Jordan Carlos in New York, and Susan Wokoma in London, brought together over 1,500 industry professionals across the three locations.

In addition to celebrating casting achievements, the ceremony also paid tribute to industry leaders. In Los Angeles, casting director John Papsidera (Oppenheimer) received the Hoyt Bowers Award for Excellence in Casting, presented by Jason Reitman. In New York, Daniel Swee (Lincoln Center Theater) was honored with the Marion Dougherty New York Apple Award, while in London, Juliette Meanger was presented with the Capelier-Shaw Award for Excellence in Casting by filmmaker Luca Guadagnino. During the event, CSA President Destiny Lilly announced a new London Theater Award, set to be introduced in 2026, further expanding CSA’s global recognition of casting excellence.

This year’s Artios Awards showcased a diverse range of productions, from blockbuster films to streaming series and theatrical performances.
