The long wait for the Sandersons' sisters return is shorter than ever!
The 1993's cult movie, directed by Kenny Ortega, followed the story of three sisters-witches Mary (played by Kathy Najimy), Winifred (played by Bette Midler), and Sarah (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) as they are accidentally resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts.
The sequel follows a similar premise: the Sanderson Sisters are accidentally summoned back by three young women to modern-day Salem, and as a consequence the three witches must be stopped from wreaking havoc on the world.
“Hocus Pocus 2” is directed by Anne Flecther, and has just begun to be shot in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dinsey+ announced that Hocus Pocus 2 will premiere in Fall 2022... Maybe just in time for Halloween?
