Fantasy series ”The Quest '' will be coming to streaming platform Disney+. It is set in the fantasy world of Everealm, which is under threat from an evil Sorceress. Eight strangers, known as paladins, are summoned from a world beyond to work together to fulfil an ancient prophecy and defeat the Sorceress.
The series is going to have a rather unique take on the fantasy genre; the eight strangers summoned are real-life teenagers, who will be immersed in the fantasy world and complete a series of challenges in order to save Everealm. ”The Quest” is a hybrid competition series, with both scripted and unscripted content. The teenagers will be put through challenges anchored in a fully realised fantasy world, complete with scripted lore, mythology and actors. According to executive producers Michael Williams and Rob Eric, great care was taken to make sure that everything from the design of the sets to the look of the costumes give off an authentic and immersive feel.
”The Quest” is produced by Court Five, New Media Collective and Scout Production Inc. The series will be available to stream on Disney+ on May 11.
