For fans of HBO’s “Euphoria,” exciting news has arrived: the series is preparing to head back into production. Filming is planned to begin in January 2025, three years after the premiere of season two.

The executive vp HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films, Francesca Orsi, shared her excitement for the upcoming season when stating, “I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January… We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”

If you are wondering whether your favorite characters will have a role again, no worries! All of the principal cast will return, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi and Hunter Schafer.

HBO, however, affirmed that the season will be released no earlier than late next year, suggesting a gap of up to four years between seasons. This delay was caused by the writers’ and actors’ strikes of 2023, together with Levinson’s opportunity to work more on scripts.

Nika King joked about the long delay in a stand-up comedy appearance, saying “Season three is coming out. I don’t fucking know. Don’t ask me, I don’t know.”

An important detail about the new season is that it will be set forward in time with HBO and Levinson arguing about how much time should pass in the storyline between the end of season two and the start of season three.

Will Euphoria season 3 have the same results of season 2?

We’re looking forward to discovering it! For now just keep in mind that season two averaged more than 16 million viewers across all platforms in the 90 days after its premiere.
