It’s really happening! A joke from the Deadpool movies is about to become an actual reality, with Ryan Reynolds confirming that Hugh Jackman will be playing Wolverine in “Deadpool 3”. In a surprise teaser posted on Reynold's personal Twitter account, the actor is shown seated on a sofa telling fans he was "extremely sad" about missing D23 where there was no Deadpool 3 announcement. Then we can see Hugh Jackman appearing briefly and agreeing that he will definitely show up in the movie.
In a few hours, the news gained more than 1 million likes on Twitter and over 25 million views. On Instagram, the announcement gathered 2.5 million likes and 26 million views.
"Deadpool 3" will be released in theaters on September 6, 2024. The film will be directed by Sean Levy.
