Actress Gina Carlo is attempting to sue Disney and Lucasfiilm for discrimination.
The actress claims the entertainment giant discriminated against her for voicing certain opinions on hot-button issues.
A-swell as discrimination, Gina is also trying to sue Disney and Lucasfilm for wrongful termination and is seeking a court order for Lucasfilm to recast her.
Elon Musk will pay for her legal bill because of his promise to support those who claim they have been discriminated against on Twitter. The actress was fired from the ‘Mandalorian’ after right wing views in which she said
“most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?” After this statement was posted on X, Carlo was fired from the Disney+ show and her character was recast.
In a statement in which Carlo clarified her post she said the following:
“My words were consistently twisted to demonize & dehumanize me as an alt right wing extremist.”
Last year, Musk pledged to fund legal action for users on X who claim they have faced discrimination by their employers over their activity on the platform.
The offer came with “no limit” on costs, with Musk saying he would “go after the boards of directors of the companies too.”
