On Monday 13, from the Beverly Hilton, the complete list of nominations for the upcoming Golden Globes were released.
Despite last year's controversy about the lack of diversity within the pool of nominees, the HFPA has hired a chief diversity officer to better their position. The dark cloud spinning over the HFPA is not yet dissolved, which is why the final ceremony will not be televised.
Netflix leads with 17 nominations with movie “The Power of the Dog” and TV series “Squid Game” being the most appreciated products. Runner-up is HBO with 15 nominations. Apple’s “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show” also performed well, earning four nominations each.
The awards ceremony will be held Sunday 9 January, 2022.
