While chatting with Collider about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Christmas special which will be streaming on Disney+ at the end of 2022, director James Gunn gifted his fans with a little update on the current situation of the film.
Shooting started in October 2021 and it should be released in March 2023, and on this occasion Gunn revealed some details focusing mainly on the reaction of the very first audience of it, that is to say his collaborators at Marvel Studios. He said:
“It’s going great. Chukwudi, who plays Murn in ‘Peacemaker’, is one of the main characters in the movie and people are freaking out over how good this guy is. Literally freaking out. I think that I’m really happy. I gave a bunch of scenes to Marvel right before Christmas break. Kevin [Feige] went… they were all really, really, really, stoked. But also, it’s not going to be the movie people… It’s different from what people are going to expect. It’s a hard road, but I’m really happy with it so far.”
I don’t know about you people, but if these are the premises, I think we have good reasons to hope March 2023 will be here as fast as possible!
