Executive producers for “The Fable,” directed by Raam Reddy, will be Academy Award-winning producer Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain of Sikhya Entertainment. The film is scheduled to have its Indian premiere at the upcoming MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
The movie features Manoj Bajpayee in the role of Dev, with Priyanka Bose, Deepak Dobriyal, and Tillotama Shome. Taking place in the Indian Himalayas, the story revolves around a family residing on a fruit farm whose tranquility is shattered by unexplained occurrences.
"The Fable," which had its premiere at the Berlinale earlier this year and is set to be screened at Valladolid’s SEMINCI, has been receiving positive feedback. Providing a critique for the Variety, Siddhant Adlakha discussed the film's "unstoppable force, expertly harnessed by Reddy like a cinematic magician blending past and present, blurring memories, nostalgia, and deeply rooted convictions. It represents a fresh and essential perspective on self-reflection, childhood, and one's place of origin."
