‘Hercules’ and ‘Aladdin’ directors will be the masters behind ‘Metal Men’ film

The veterans of Disney’s Reinassance and former directors of masterpieces such as ‘Hercules’ and ‘Aladdin’ will be directing the ‘Metal Men’ animated movie for DC Comics and Warner Animation.

John Musker and Ron Clements were two columns of contemporary animation for Disney and were the absolute protagonists of the great film released during the 90s like ‘The Little Mermaid’ (1989) and ‘The Great Mouse Detective’ (1986). Musker had even previously expressed his wish to retire while Clements had remained in Walt Disney Animation Studios story trust.

Apparently, though, the two found in the DC Comics project an occasion to once again gift the audience with their abilities. The ‘Metal Man’ story was created by Rober Kanigher, Ross Andru and Mike Esposito in 1962 and it talks about some mutant form of robots invented by a scientist, made with specific materials on which is based the robot’s main characteristic.

It is supposed to hit theatres after the release of another DC Comics cartoon ‘League of Super Pets’ arriving in May 2022. We can’t wait to find out more!
