Are the rumours true? For the last three years the Academy Awards have not had anyone to host the awards. Now, they are is making it up for the lost time when they are now letting three hosts hold the awards all at once. The last time this happened was in 1987.
History is in the making, for the first time in its history The Academy Awards will be led by three women at once. The Oscars are usually led by one main host but this year the Oscars will have three main hosts all at once for the first time since 1987 when Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn and Paul Hogan led the Oscars. From not having a single host in three years, 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic but in 2019 Kevin Hart had to withdraw just days before the event because of controversial old tweets, to now having three at the same time. These are Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes. The live event will be around three hours and the hosts will host one hour each.
The 94th edition of the Academy Awards take place on 27th of March 2022 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
It's now confirmed the trio of Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes will be leading the Oscars.
