Hulu's upcoming miniseries will cover the story of Elizabeth Holmes, founder of the company Theranos, who had been accused of computer fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. The drama will be based on ABC's hit podcast of the same name.
Elizabeth Meriwether (creator of “New Girl”) will be the showrunner for the series. Amanda Seyfried will play Elizabeth Holmes, and she stars alongside Naveen Andrews (“Lost”, “Sense8”) who will play Sunny Balwani, Theranos COO and Holmes' former romantic partner.
“The Dropout” promises to tell the entire story of Holmes and her company, from its ambitious project to its falling from grace.
The first three episodes of “The Dropout” will premiere on Hulu on March 3, 2022.
