'West Side Story' is an upcoming American romantic musical drama, produced and directed by Steven Spielberg.
The film is an adaptation of the 1957 Broadway musical of the same title, which was based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The movie stars Ansel Elgort and Rachel Regler who fall for each other, despite belonging to two conflicting parts of a city. The first trailer will be released on Sunday night during the Oscars. The movie is set to hit the screens on December 10, 2021.
