"Miller’s Girl," a new American drama film written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, is set to be released on January 26.
Following its late 2022 premiere, the Wednesday movie quickly became the second-most-watched English-language Netflix series. As a result, public attention turned towards the cast's careers, particularly focusing on Jenna Ortega, who portrayed the main character in the series.
The actress was introduced to viewers through the lens of her relationships with family and schoolmates, portraying a girl determined to solve a local murder mystery. In this new premiere, we witness Jenna in a radically different role.
Jenna who now takes on the much more mature character of student (Cairo) and Martin Freeman, who plays her teacher (Jonathan Miller) develop a dark relationship following a creative writing assignment.

It appears that Mr. Miller offers Cairo special treatment and asks her to write a short story in the style of her choice. However, the assignment written by a talented student seems to be inappropriate and so, the tension between Mr. Miller and Cairo Sweet rises even more.
By the end of the trailer, the girl appears with tears listening to clear instructions from her friend (played by Gideon Adlon) to ruin Jonathan’s life. She will try to do it by reportedly stating being raped by her teacher.
Why did the relationship fail, if it indeed did? What lies ahead for Mr. Miller's life? And the central question – What is Cairo's story about? All answers will be revealed soon, coinciding with the upcoming premiere in a few weeks. Ensure you do not miss it.
