Jack Veal, a 17-year-old actor who was featured in the first season of Loki, recently revealed on TikTok that he is currently without a home. The actor, known for his role as Kid Loki in the Marvel series starring Tom Hiddleston, shared several videos on the platform over the past few days, expressing his need for housing near London.

“Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17 and I’m homeless,” he stated in a video uploaded last Sunday. “You might recognize me from Loki, The End of the F***ing World, or various other films where I had significant roles. I haven’t spoken much about my personal life, but I believe it’s time to be honest. Without going into too much detail, I experienced abuse at home. It involved physical violence, emotional abuse, and more.” Veal, known for his roles in The Peripheral, Tin Star, Come Away, The Corrupted, Call the Midwife, and My Name Is Lenny, explained in the video that he cannot stay with his grandparents because his grandfather is “terminally unwell.”
“I have nowhere else to go, and I need help,” he continued. “Social services refuse to assist me, despite what I have told them. I am desperate. I’ve been sleeping on the streets. Currently, I am staying in a trailer with broken windows, which is unsafe and two hours away from my work, making it difficult to commute every day. Life is challenging. At the moment, I have nothing else. I am pleading with you to share this, do something, spread the message about how the government is treating kids.”

Following the viral success of his initial video, which garnered over 200,000 views, Veal uploaded several subsequent videos expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming support he received. On Tuesday, he also revealed that social services had contacted him about arranging a meeting to potentially assist with accommodations and place him in foster care.
“I don’t know what you guys have done, but it’s reached people and it’s really, really helped me. They’re taking action now. They’re actually doing something,” he said in the clip. “God bless you all. Thank you so much.” Veal mentioned that he would provide an update on the outcome of the meeting in the coming days.
