Sony's latest comic book movie, “Morbius”, release has officially been pushed back.
The newest Covid-19 variant with its increase of cases has already been impacting the movie release schedule for 2022.
“Morbius” follows the story of Doctor Michael Morbius (played by Jared Leto), a scientist who turns himself into a vampire-like creature. The character of Morbius is one of the well-known adversaries of Spider-Man, an antihero of the likes of Venom.
“Morbius” is written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, and directed by Daniel Espinosa. The movie was set to release on January 28, 2022, after having been delayed for six times before.
Sony Pictures has confirmed that “Morbius” will be in theaters on April 1, 2022.
