Netflix dominated at the Emmys Awards!

Netflix had confirmed its strong position in the market as a streaming platform by winning the major number of Emmys Awards (44 statuettes!) ever in history.

Besides scoring 34 wins in the Creative Arts Emmys, last night Netflix scored ten more points with the series “The Queen’s Gambit”, that was awarded the statuette for 'best limited series', and “The Crown”, which left the ceremony as 'best drama series', while also taking the awards as 'best directing' and 'writing for a drama series'. But the success of “The Crown” continued on: Olivia Colman won as 'best lead actress in a drama series' for her interpretation of Queen Elizabeth II; Josh O'Connor was awarded as 'best lead actor in a drama series' for his role as Prince Charles; and finally, Gillian Anderson took the statuette as 'best supporting actress in a drama series' for playing Margaret Thatcher.
