Outside, the first zombie movie ever made in the Philippines, has unveiled its initial full trailer.
The Netflix film, directed by Carlo Ledesma, will be available on the platform starting October 17th. The first trailer indicates that the movie intensifies the suspense and horror amidst a tropical setting.
Outside is situated in a secluded province of the Philippines, characterized by small villages, rice fields, and sugar cane plantations. It narrates the tale of a family attempting to escape the zombie epidemic by seeking refuge in the father's childhood farmhouse, which they fortify to keep out "The Dead Ones."
While zombies are the main focus, the movie also explores themes like generational trauma and abuse. The cast includes Sid Lucero as the troubled father, Beauty Gonzalez as the determined mother, and Marco Masa and Aiden Patdu as their frightened sons.
Ledesma, known for his work in horror films, directed the acclaimed Australian found-footage horror film The Tunnel (2011).
