Netflix offers 1,5 million pounds in a search for new and more unknown UK filmmakers. This initiative will make it possible for an unknown director, producer or writer to get the chance of a global launch on the Netflix streaming service.
Many times many big directors just had an idea together with a small sum of money that today might be/have been some of the worlds biggest directors like Christopher Nolan, David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick. Netflix is now offering a big chance for Britain's next big thing. A global launch on Netflix, the possibility to show their creation in front of all millions of Netflix subscribers but also be able to find and discover a future generation of very distinctive UK storytellers.
At least one project will be picked from six shortlisted filmmakers and the project is called Breakout.
