Nolan's masterpiece overtook 2023's popular Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, to become the third biggest blockbuster of the year. Its total revenue is currently at $854 million, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 stood at $845 million. The latter, which was presented at the beginning of May this year, has been available on Disney+ for more than a month, since August 2. On the other hand, Oppenheimer also demonstrated its durability in the weekend behind us, as overseas it finished fifth in the top 10, its decline was only 30%. We can wait for its streaming premiere for a while, since according to the agreement between the studio behind the film, Universal and Nolan, Oppenheimer can enjoy cinema exclusivity for up to 120 days.
