It's a known fact that Marvel is been trying for years to be more inclusive in their representation, first with the release of Captain Marvel, and recently with the series Miss Marvel, with a young Muslim protagonist. Now it's taking a step further introducing the first superhero dealing with mental issues.
If at first we are introduced to the mild Steven Grant, caretaker of the Egyptian section in the British Museum, suddenly a shift of personality allows us to meet Marc Spector, an ex-mercenary, tough and brave.
The multiple personalities of the character are the first sign of a powerful and embracing representation of mental health issues in a comic-action world.
The series, with Oscar Isaac as well as Ethan Hawke and the late Gaspar Ulliel, will be released on Disney+ on the 30th of March.
