Claire and Jamie's adventures are finally back! The news was revealed by Diana Gabaldon, author of the “Outlander” book series, during a book tour.
Season 6 will be based on the sixth book of Gabaldon's series, “A Breath of Snow and Ashes”, that sees the Frasers try to maintain the peace in their North Carolina settlement. The historical event behind it all is the Revolutionary War, and the threat it poses to Claire (played by Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie’s (played by Sam Heughan) lives, who need to find a way to protect their family.
The acclaimed drama series has already been renewed for its seventh season, underlying its incredible success.
For those of you who haven't watched “Outlander” yet, the first five seasons can be streamed on Starz Now, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.
Season 6 of “Outlander” will premiere exclusively on Starz on March 6, 2022.
