The People’s Choice Awards are a prestigious recognition that is given through an online votation of the public. They have recently announced the actresses, actors and TV shows nominated for the 2021 edition. As imaginable, ‘Squid Game’ got a nomination but, and here comes the actual surprise, not a series of the year or best tv drama. In fact, it is nominated in the best binge-worthy series of the year.
As for first times, it is Disney+ first year with its Marvel series. We are not just talking about ‘Loki’ or ‘WandaVision’ (the most nominated with 4 nominations each), but it appears that also ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ found a place among the audience’s tastes.
Another not surprising outcome is the one of ‘This is Us’ by NBC becoming the show with most nominations (6 in total) followed by ‘Law and Order: Special Unit’, ‘Outer Banks’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
