”QUO VADIS AIDA?”-Courage and resilience story

"QUO VADIS, AIDA?" by Jasmila Zbanic. Nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film. Presented in Competition at Venice 77.


A film in the horror of the war of the former Yugoslavia. In July 1995, there was the genocide of over 8,000 Bosnian Muslims, mostly boys and men. The massacre was perpetrated by the army unit led by Ratko Mladić. In an area that the UN had defined as protected.


Aida (Jasna Djuricic), a UN translator, is convinced she is safe in the base camp where she works but she is wrong. "This film is about a woman struggling with a war game between men-says the director, born in Sarajevo in 1974-It speaks of courage and resilience."
