Rooney Mara is set to play Audrey Hepburn in a biopic about the legendary Award-winning and iconic actress. The movie will be directed by Luca Guadagnino (“Call Me By Your Name”) and it will be produced by Mara herself and written by Michael Mitnick (“The Staggering Girl”, “The Current War”).
The project is already in development at Apple Studios, but no plot details have been revealed so far.
Audrey Hepburn starred in unforgettable movies such as “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, “My Fair Lady”, and “Roman Holiday”, for which she won an Academy Award in 1953. Hepburn was also a fashion icon and participated extensively in humanitarian projects.
Actress Rooney Mara, nominated for an Academy Award twice, for her work in 2011’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and 2015’s “Carol”, seems the perfect choice to bring back to life Audrey Hepburn.
