Ryan Gosling Claiming that the New “Barbie” Movie has the Best Script Ever

Recently the full trailer for the upcoming Warner Bros movie "Barbie" was released. The movie is set to hit theaters on July 21, 2023.

The plot surrounds Barbie and her love interest Ken. It starts off with Barbie living in the perfect world where she is slowly starting to question different things. In the trailer for instance, she says “Do you guys ever think about dying?” which leaves the other Barbie’s shocked. Later on, it will follow how she travels to the real world with Ken.

Margot Robbie opened up to Vogue about the film’s assumptions. She explained that when her production team pitched the idea to Mattell, they said that “We of course would want to honor the 60-year legacy that this brand has. But we have to acknowledge that there are a lot of people who aren’t fans of Barbie. And in fact, aren’t just indifferent to Barbie. Ther actively hate Barbie. And have a real issue with Barbie. We need to find a way to acknowledge that.”

In the lead roles we find award-winning actors Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. The cast is star-studded with actors like Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon and Emma Mackey. There is no wonder that casting directors Allisson Jones, Kate Ringsell together with Lucy Bevan, have done an extraordinary job choosing the cast.

The director Greta Gerwig is known for her spectacular movies, such as Little Women and Lady Bird. She is a director who often surprises her viewers with unexpected plot twists.

Margot Robbie told British Vouge that “People generally hear Barbie’ and think ‘I know what that movie is going to be,’ and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t...,”.

Ryan Gosling said in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: “...best script I’ve ever read...,”. This shows that the movie will not be an ordinary animation – to – live action film, however with Gerwig as a director, no one can be completely sure what to expect.

No matter if your favorite childhood toy was Barbie or Lego, one thing is for sure; this movie based on a life in plastic will make you feel fantastic.
