It was revealed today that Sean Penn‘s documentary about Ukraine will make its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival next month.
The 73rd-annual Berlinale, 16-26th February, will touch on the topic of the war, marking the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine during the event.
The doc is titled Superpower and it depicts Ukraine and President Zelenskyy at the start of the invasion. Penn is co-directing with Aaron Kaufman.
Carlo Chatrian, Berlin Artistic Director, introduced the documentary saying: “This is a documentary film done under very difficult circumstances, but it is also a film that tells the role of art and artists in difficult times.”
