Season 5 of “the Crown” started production in the U.K last month. The film features Debicki as the princess through early 1990s and Dominic West as Prince Charles, her estranged husband. The duo will be joined in season 5 by Imelda Staunton, known from “Harry Potter”, as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Maville as Princess Margaret and Jonny Lee Miller as John Major
The show first premiered on Netflix in 2016 where the fans followed the British royal family through the decades, starting with the death of George VI and the subsequent coronation of his daughter, Queen Elizabeth II in 1952. Season 5 offers the fans to see the family through the Queen’s so-called “annus horribilis” in 1992.
