The star of “Euphoria” has been chosen to be the Queen of the Galaxy. The actress has been tapped to star in and executive produce a Barbarella reboot, giving new life to Jean-Claude Forest's comic series that spawned a 1968 film with Jane Fonda.
Sweeney has quickly become one of the more sought after young stars following her breakout roles in the first season of HBO’s “The White Lotus” and the second season of “Euphoria”, both scoring her Emmy nominations.
But don't get too excited just yet. The project is reportedly in the very early stages of development, with no writer or director attached to the new version of the sci-fi flick as of right now.
