The movie is about a young Donald Trump and what shaped him as a person. The film stirred some pots, receiving mostly positive reviews from critics but also faced a legal threat from the former president, according to BBC News. About the Film: "The Apprentice" looks at the hidden side of American power, following young Donald Trump's rise. He gains influence through a deal with Roy Cohn, a strong right-wing lawyer and political fixer. Despite its title, “The Apprentice” is not related to the reality show Trump starred in. The film includes a disclaimer stating that some parts of the story are fictionalized. It was written by biographer and political journalist Gabriel Sherman and directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi.
The film's release date is still unknown, and according to IMDb, 'The Apprentice' has not secured a US-based distributor yet.
