More than three years have passed since the release of the last James Bond film, and there have been no updates regarding the casting for the upcoming installment. However, Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon MGM Studios, remains unconcerned about the delay.
"There have been numerous intriguing ideas about potential actors that have come up, which I find interesting," Salke shared in a recent interview with The Guardian. "I believe there are various directions we can explore. We maintain a strong and collaborative relationship with Eon Productions, Barbara Broccoli, and Michael G. Wilson. Our intention is not to disrupt the established process of creating those exceptional films. We are following their guidance. The global audience is willing to wait. While we aim to minimize the gap between films, we are not currently worried about it."
In 2021, the movie No Time to Die marked Daniel Craig's final appearance as James Bond, following his role as 007. Considering that there was a six-year gap between this film and its predecessor, Spectre from 2015, it might be some time before we see another Bond film on the big screen. Typically, the intervals between Bond movies are much shorter, such as the three-year gap between Skyfall and Spectre, and the two-year gap between Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
