After a wild first promo, the new trailer for The Fall Guy arrived freshly coinciding with the Super Bowl. At the center of the trailer we see the exploits of expert stuntman Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), who teams up with an old flame, Hollywood director and ex-girlfriend Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt), to defeat a group of criminals. Aaron Taylor-Johnson also stars in the film as Tom Ryder, a missing movie star.
Based on the 1980s television series of the same name, The Fall Guy, starring Lee Majors, The Fall Guy sees Gosling play Colt Seavers, a professional stuntman who was once known to be the best in the business. Unfortunately, time and all the falls have not been kind to Colt, who has now become the last choice among his colleagues. Still recovering from a botched performance that nearly ended his life, Colt springs back into action when asked to star in his ex-girlfriend Jody Moreno's (Blunt) latest film. Working with an ex can be difficult enough, but when the production's star (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) disappears, Colt takes matters into his own hands, putting his skills to the test on set.
Speaking about the spectacular stunts featured in the film, director David Leitch said: "There are two levels of stunts in this movie. There's the movie set that Colt is working on, where we were able to use our wildest imaginations to create the stunts that he has to do. Then there are the stunts that are part of the engine of the story, where Colt is unraveling the mystery of the missing actor. The most fun aspect of working on set is that we were able to show the audience a little glimpse of how it's done."
