“The Man Who Fell To Earth” is on the making!

The remake of the popular 1976's movie “The Man Who Fell To Earth” is on the making by Showtime!

This revisited version of the sci-fi classic will be a 10-episodes long TV series starring Chiwetel Ejiofor (“12 Years a Slave”) and Naomie Harris (“No Time to Die”).

Ejiofor will play Faraday, an alien attempting to understand his purpose after landing on Earth. In its quest, Faraday makes contact with a human, Justin Falls (played by Harris), who will try to help him discover for what purpose he landed on Earth.

The original movie was an adaption of 1963's book of the same name, and the alien was magisterially interpreted by the rockstar David Bowie.

The remake promises to remain faithful to the original plot, but the length permitted by a television product will allow it to explore further the narrative material of the book.

“The Man Who Fell To Earth” is set to premiere this spring.
