Dungeons and Dragons was first created back in 1974 by Gary Gygax and his company Tactical Studies Rules, Inc together with Dave Arneson. Since 1999 a smaller company called Wizards of the Coast (owned by Hasbro) released the game. Now the first live action-movie will come to life based on D&D (Dungeons and Dragons).
The movie will be called Dungeons and Dragons: Honour among Thieves and is expected to come in 2023. The main role will be played by Chris Pine and those joining him will be Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page and Hugh Grant among others. In the game Dungeons and Dragons (also known as D&D) people create their own role playing characters that travel on epic adventures together. The dungeon master will function as the games judge and storyteller while containing the gameworld in which the adventures are played in. During its almost 50 years it has become one of the most popular role playing games and is estimated to have been played by at least 20-25 million people worldwide. Books and games have been released to an estimate of 1 billion dollars worldwide and will finally have its own first live action movie.
Dungeons and Dragons: Honour among Thieves is estimated to premiere 3rd of March 2023.
