The thriller "Bagman" and Sam Claflin from Hunger Games

Sam Claflin, known for his role as Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games film series, has been cast in Bagman, a supernatural thriller produced by Lionsgate.

Colm McCarthy, the British director behind season two of Peaky Blinders, the pilot episode of the DC series Krypton, and the independent film The Girl With all the Gifts, is helming the movie scripted by John Hulme.

What is it about?

The narrative revolves around a father, portrayed by Claflin, who faces a fierce battle with his innermost fear as the childhood monster he once defeated reappears to torment him. This time, the father must summon the courage not only to defend himself but also to protect his family.

Lionsgate's Meredith Wieck and Jorge Alfaro are managing the project, while John Fischer from Temple Hill introduced and will supervise it for the company.

Lionsgate collaborated with Claflin in the successful Hunger Games films, selecting him to portray the charming games champion Odair, who played a crucial role alongside protagonist Katniss Everdeen. Lionsgate motion picture president Nathan Kahane remarked, “Since his debut in Catching Fire, Sam has evolved into a captivating leading actor. We are delighted by his enthusiastic response to this new project.”
