The supervillian team Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman och John Cena are back for Suicide Squad 2. This movie is intended to be a soft reboot and stand-alone sequel to Suicide Squad and the 10th film in the DC Extended Universe.
This new prequel also shrewdly cherry-pick the best elements from David Ayer’s film, bringing back Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as square-jawed Colonel Rick Flag and Viola David as the ruthless government bureaucrat who oversees Task Force X. But the Studio cut is not Ayer´s movie and he accused Warner Bros of dramatically recutting his film from his original vision from 2016.
The film is directed by James Gunn, produced by Peter Safran and Charles Roven. Distributed by Warner Bros.
