The 2025 Annie Awards honored the best in animation, with The Wild Robot emerging as the biggest winner of the night, securing nine awards, including Best Feature, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Meanwhile, Arcane dominated the TV categories, winning all seven awards for which it was nominated.
The DreamWorks Animation film The Wild Robot, which was nominated in ten categories, continued its winning streak after recently claiming the Producers Guild Award for Outstanding Animated Feature and Best Animated Feature at the Critics Choice Awards. Other major winners included Flow, which took home Best Feature – Independent and Best Writing – Feature, while Orion and the Dark won Best Special Production. In the TV categories, Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Dream Productions each secured two wins, while Bob’s Burgers triumphed in the Best TV/Media – Mature category.
The event also celebrated technical excellence in animation, with The Wild Robot securing wins in Best Character Animation – Feature, Best Direction, Best Music, and Best Production Design. Arcane dominated TV awards, winning in categories like Best Direction, Best Music, Best Production Design, Best FX, Best Character Animation, Best Storyboarding, and Best Editorial. With both established studios and independent creators making their mark, the 2025 Annie Awards highlighted the continued evolution and influence of the animation industry.
