In the previous month, The Hollywood Reporter revealed exclusively that Destin Daniel Cretton was in negotiations to helm the fourth movie in the superhero series, replacing director Jon Watts.

"When working on a Marvel project like Spider-Man 4," Holland explained, "it's important to remember that your film is just one part of a much larger operation. The overall machine needs to keep moving forward, and it's crucial to ensure that your work aligns with the established timeline for the greater good. This presents a significant challenge for us, but with the talented team currently involved, meeting the demanding deadlines is definitely within reach." The star of The Crowded Room mentioned that the film’s team has already developed “a fantastic creative concept, pitch, and draft.”

He went on to say that although there is room for improvement, the writers are performing admirably. He mentioned reading the script three weeks ago and how it ignited a spark within him. He and Zendaya sat down to read it together, and they found themselves enthusiastically moving around the living room, expressing that the script is truly a cinematic piece deserving of fans' admiration. However, there are a few details that need to be resolved before they can fully proceed, but the overall prospect is thrilling.
