Christmas Day brings more than just cheer – it’s delivering cinematic treaters for moviegoers of all tastes. Two standout releases, “Nosferatu” and “A Complete Unknown,” couldn’t be more different, yet both promise compelling experiences.

For fans of gothic horror, Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” offers a lush, atmospheric reimagining of the 1922 classic. With Bill Skarsgard as the menacing Count Orlok and Lily-Rose Depp in a star-making turn, this visual tale of obsession and terror feels like a haunting Christmas story, just with more fangs. Eggers’ signature style combines meticulous period detail with bone-chilling scares, making this a must-watch for horror aficionados.

On the other hand, “A Complete Unknown” takes audiences into the mind of Bob Dylan during one of his most transformative periods. Timothée Chalamet leads the biopic with his portrayal of the enigmatic folk legend, navigating Dylan’s transition to electric music in the mid-1960s. Directed by James Mangold, this drama leans heavily on music and performances, with Elle Fanning and Edward Norton adding depth to Dylan’s world. While it may not reinvent the biopic formula, it’s a heartfelt ode to an artist who changed music forever.

Whether you're drawn to timeless terror or timeless tunes, these films offer a welcome escape from the holiday hustle. So, grab some popcorn and decide: Are you braving the eerie allure of “Nosferatu,” or stepping into the electric world of “A Complete Unknown?”
