HBO’s “White Lotus” has become a wildly popular show. The show focuses on the fictional “White Lotus” luxury resort chain, with each of the two seasons being set at a different resort. Season 3 of the show is set to be released on February 16, 2025, and viewers are more excited than ever to tune into the show.
Season 1, which starred Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Murray Bartlett, and Sydney Sweeney, amongst other stars, was set in Hawaii, with scenes being filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. Season 2 of the “White Lotus” was set in Sicily, and starred Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, and Haley Lu Richardson, with Jennifer Coolidge making a return and playing the ever-popular character of Tanya McQuoid-Hunt. Similarly to Season 1, the show was shot on-location, with various places in Sicily being used for filming.
As Season 3 approaches its release date, many fans of the show have been wondering what they can expect. This season will transport viewers to yet another luxurious White Lotus resort, this time set in Thailand. There is no doubt that the location will once again play a major role in shaping the themes and atmosphere of the season. Mike White, the creator, writer, and director of the show, hinted that the upcoming season might delve deeper into themes of spirituality and wellness, subjects that are closely tied to the global reputation of Thailand as a destination for soul-searching journeys.
Season 3 is set to have a star-studded cast including Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Natasha Rothwell, among others. The season will have 8 episodes and principal photography took place from February through August of 2024 in Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui. “Eastern versus Western religion, or Western people in an Eastern culture” are themes which will be explored through the series, as has been confirmed by director Mike White in a Town & Country article. Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO drama series and films, also said that the season will be “an exploration about spirituality versus the ego”.
Viewers are eager to continue watching the show and should mark their calendars for the release on February 16, so they can tune in to watch Season 3 of “The White Lotus” on HBO.
