The directorial debut of actor Jesse Eisenberg (best known for “The Social Network”) is about to hit the screens!
Based on the novel titled “When You Finish Saving the World”, written by Eisenberg himself, who also took care of the screenwriting of the movie, the project will be slightly different from the content of the book.
The main story follows Evelyn (played by Julianne Moore) and her teenage son Ziggy (Finn Wolfhard) going through a complicated relationship. Evelyn runs a domestic violence shelter, and begins to look after a teenager who arrived at her center; Ziggy on his part is busy pursuing a brilliant girl at his school.
“When You Finish Saving the World” will deal with diverse topics such as parenting and how difficult it is growing up, thus combining comedy and drama.
“When You Finish Saving the World” will premiere at Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2022.
