Warner Bros. has ordered a remake for the 1992 romantic drama that led late singer Whitney Houston to worldwide fame on the big screen.
The original “The Bodyguard” tells the story of a secret service agent (played by Kevin Costner) who becomes the bodyguard of an R&B singer.
The remake will be scripted by Matthew Lopez, and the writer and producer of the original movie, Lawrence Kasdan, will be among the producers of the new project.
Still unknown the cast, given that the production is in a very early stage.
