According to Courteney Cox it seems like the possibility of her returning as Gale Weathers in Scream 6 is quite big. She accidentally revealed that she had gotten a script but had not been able to read it yet. What we also get to know is that the movie will start shooting this summer in Canada.
The Scream-franchise had its beginning in 1996 and is described as a horror slasher but also one that does not take itself too seriously. The slasher genre had been on a slight downhill (horror also slightly) but Scream sort of revived both. Scream takes us to Woodsboro in the US where there is a killer “Ghostface” on the loose, here we get to meet Sidney Prescott (played by Neve Campbell), Gale Weathers (played by Courteney Cox) and Dwight “Dewey” Riley (played by David Arquette) and how this affect them and all around in different ways.
Scream started in 1996, Scream 5 premiered this January and number six in this franchise will start shooting this June if everything goes according to plan.
