Will Ferrell will be joining the cast for the new movie about the doll that we all know as Barbie. Ferrell will be taking on the role as VD for the toy company that produces Barbie and Ken. The movie will be produced by Greta Gerwig in this new comedy.
Greta Gerwig has previously produced Nights and Weekends, her first as a producer back in 2008, How I met your Dad back in 2014 and Mistress America in 2015. This is Gerwig's fourth as a producer and this time it will be about Barbie. In the role of Barbie will be Margot Robbie and in the role of Ken we will have Ryan Gosling. Now Will Ferrell will be joining and have the role as VD for the toy company but right now not much is known about the actual story. This will be Ferrell's first movie since the popular Eurovision Song Contest: The story of Fire Saga in 2020.
The premiere, according to plan, will be in 2023.
